Health & WellnessParish/Faith Community Nurse and Health/Wellness Committee Ministry
GLUMC has a volunteer Parish/Faith Community Nurse and a Health/Wellness Committee Ministry that provide health and spirituality promotions and education throughout the year.
§ Monthly Blood Pressure Screenings are conducted every third Sunday of the month following our worship services.
§ Health information brochures, booklets, and CareNotes are available in display areas.
§ Special projects are scheduled throughout the year. Recent events included Walk to Jerusalem by Easter™ in 2008 and Walk to Bethlehem by Christmas™ 2009. These were 12-week walks with devotional readings and physical activity with over 8,500 miles accumulated for each walk.
§ Annual Flu Shot Clinic held every fall.
§ CPR (Cardiopulmonary resuscitation) training.
Annual November service - Quiet Centering for the Holidays with music, scriptures, meditations, anointing, communion, and lighting of candles for healing.
The Parish/Faith Community Nurse is available to provide information about local services available to older people and health information. You may notify the church office if you would like to make contact with the Parish/Faith Community Nurse.

BAM! Body and Mind - Site created by Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for children 9-13 years old.
